On Wednesday, January 17^th 2007, at Sibiu City Hall took place the press conference on which the partnership concluded between Scandia Română and the Association Sibiu—European Capital of Culture 2007 was made publicly known, by which Scandia Română became an “Official Partner” of the Association.

Numerous local officials and members of the press were present together with Ioan Bozdog, Scandia Română General Manager and Klaus Werner Johannis, President of the Association Sibiu 2007, in the moment of announcing the partnership concluded between the two organizations.

Ioan Bozdog informed the participants regarding the value of the sponsorship offered by Scandia to the Association Sibiu—European Capital of Culture 2007, mentioning that part of it consists of media exposure, and another of financial aid for financing the Association's projects.

Klaus Johnnis, the mayor, expressed his content regarding the partnership concluded with a powerful company like Scandia, which can support the cultural events that are going to take place in this year.

After the speeches of the two organizations’ officials and the questions addressed by the members of the press, the guests could see for the first time the first advertising spot of paté Sibiu in which the Association Sibiu—European Capital of Culture 2007 is included, and the televiewers are invited by Scandia to come to Sibiu.
