SCANDIA AFTER 1989
After the romanian revolution of '89 a transition period followed which was caracterized by eforts to pentetrate the consumer market in a way oriented towards the ever changing requests of domestic and international markets. Until 1996 the whole production was exported on markets like the US, Great Britain, Germany, Japan and the former Soviet Union. After 1996 due to legislative changes, a shift toward the domestic market was required. Presently, due to our efforts, Scandia Romana holds a 57% market share (december-january 2007) on the liver pate domestic market value wise (including the company's own brands - MERMB Romania report). The flagship brand is Pate Sibiu.
