The Lotka Tuna chunks 160g, launched in October 2015 under the Scandia Food portfolio was voted “Product of the Year 2016” in the “Canned products” category after being in the 2016 edition of “Product of the Year, Grand Prize for Innovation”.
The Lotka Tuna chunks proved to be the most attractive product in the canned category due to its distinctive and innovative packaging – unique on the Romanian market due to the transparent lid that permits viewing the product and its consistency.
The title “Product of the Year” for the recipes used in the Lotka Tuna products honors the premium positioning, mainly backed by the benefits this product is offering: an important source of Omega 3, vitamins and minerals etc. It is also backed up by the versatility of the products, as they can be used in various combinations and recipes, being available in three variants: own juice, sunflower oil and olive oil.
This study was realized online by Exact CC, on a sample of 4000 Romanian consumers, representative for the urban population with ages between 18 and 54, internet users.
The maximum error in sampling ranges between +/-1.5%. The study took place in April 2016, and the selection criteria were innovation, attraction and satisfaction.
